Stan & Ted Letterbox Gifts began its journey at the start of 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working from home and being in a constant state of lockdown had really lost all novelty value, so something was needed to take my mind off the state the world was currently in!

I'd previously bought a Letterbox Gift for a work colleague as a secret Santa present for Christmas, but was left feeling a little underwhelmed by the amount of items that was actually in it. This got me thinking, I could probably have just done this myself with a little bit of creativity and imagination, I'm a graphic designer afterall, surely I could think of something!?


So after quite a bit of research, the decision was made that I was going to give this a go and see how I got on. But first I needed a brand; something that sounded professional, that was personal to me and I could become really passionate about...

I looked down to the right of my desk from my makeshift office in the dining room to see Ted, our 5 month old Shih Tzu puppy sleeping soundly on a footstool next to me. At that moment, in walks Stan, our 5 year old Shih Tzu holding the noisiest chew toy known to man (he secretly knows when i'm about to go on a conference call and does this on purpose!).

That was it. Our two boys became the inspiration behind the name and the brand was born.

But that's where the story ends... they don't help with anything else.

I mean, i'd at least appreciate it if they could pack a few boxes every now and then...
